I have an example dialoq program that demonstrates a problem with WaitCursor not
showing the wait icon over the whole dialog. It just works in the group box.

I am running a VB 6.0 compiled program and I am getting an error message when
I run it. I believe that the important error is the third line - and it is the
one that fails all the time

Summary: Decimal places are being represented with random
characters
Product: Wine
Version: 20040813
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-ole
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: rglover(a)npc.net
The example Visual Basic code below should produce "TEST 12.5", but instead it
outputs "TEST 12.__" where the underscores are the little squares you get when a
character is missing from the character set. Since I can in fact see the 1 and
the 2 in 12, I'm assuming that I should also see the 2 just after the decimal
point, but I just see the square.
Private Sub Form_Load
MsgBox ("TEST " & Format$(12.26, "0.00"))
End Sub
In the (larger) application that I had been testing when I ran across this, I
noticed that the number of squares seems a bit random: changing from call to call.
I took a peek at the source code, and settled on oleaut32/varformat.c as a
likely place, but I'm just not sure that's the right place.

Hello,
I am just starting with wine, so please don't rule out the possibility of a
configuration problem. I am running on a mandrake-like system. I downloaded
the most recent wine Mandrake RPM and installed that. I also downloaded and
installed winecfg (Wine configuration package from sourceforge) which seems to
setup my config file and drive mappings (I only changed my font paths).
I then run Adobe Acrobat (or any other program with a scroll bar). Everything
starts up fine, except that as soon as I try to scroll up or down, Acrobat
hangs and I get the following error:
pgrinber@pgrinberg:~/.wine>wine /mnt/win_d/Program\ Files/Adobe/Acrobat\
