The next step is for the person who posted the bug to mark it as VERIFIED when the next release is out (or when he has updated to the latest cvs) So far waiting for people to verifiy bugs before marking CLOSED is almost impossible since so few people actually mark their bugs as verified. [Bug 2858] IE6 SP1 fails to install

For some reason I needed native advpack which wasn't mentioned anywhere. Sidenet and winetools won't work either, until I edit the scripts to add native advpack. $ wine --version (Wine 0.9.3) $ winecfg (set global version to win98) $ WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ole32=n" wine DCOM98.EXE $ WINEDLLOVERRIDES="advpack=n" wine IE6Setup.exe I guess the goal is to get the installer working without: * Setting global windows version to win98 (Secure pages won't load under 2000) * Native DCOM (installer crashes without it on my box) * Native advpack (installer crashes without it.
