Summary: foobar2000: Resizing/Switching Workspace/UnMinimizing
Window Makes Program Unresponsive
Product: Wine
Version: 20050310
Platform: Other
URL: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=1749
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: anoliscrabcakes(a)yahoo.com
Foobar2000 (version 0.8.3) appears to work perfectly except under the following
circumstances:
1)-The window is resized
2)-The window is minimized and then restored
3)-Switching to a different workspace and then returning to the workspace
foobar2000 is located in (under the Gnome GUI)
4) Maximizing the foobar2000 window
When these events occur, two things happen: The music stops for about 5 seconds
and then usually starts up again, and the foobar2000 window stops responding to
any clicks and displays ghost images of any windows that are placed in front of
it. While the music will continue to play well after this happens, no more
meaningful interaction with foobar2000 is possible. At this point, clicking the
close 'X' button results in being told that the program is not responding and
being given the option of force-quitting the program.
---
Probably not related to the problem, but including for completeness: When
foobar2000 is started, foobar2000's console box mentions that it was unable to
load a few DLLs. The error text is:
-
ERROR(CORE): Failed to load DLL: foo_midi.dll, reason: Unable to load DLL.
ERROR(CORE): Failed to load DLL: foo_wma.dll, reason: Unable to load DLL.
ERROR(CORE): Failed to load DLL: foo_sid.dll, reason: Unable to load DLL.
ERROR(CORE): Failed to load DLL: foo_matroska.dll, reason: Unable to load DLL.
ERROR(CORE): Failed to load DLL: foo_id3v2.dll, reason: Unable to load DLL.
ERROR(CORE): Failed to load DLL: foo_dsp_soundtouch.dll, reason: Unable to load DLL.

A stub for GetUserNameExW was committed a few hours ago, could you try with
current CVS?

Playback of the tutorial song that comes with Reason works fine.
The UI feels sluggish and after a few seconds of chopping sound it stops and it
tells me "Computer too slow to play song" - but looking at the interface and
considering that my box isn't that fast I guess this is not a Wine bug (except
some missed optimizations here and there).
Resolving FIXED.

Runs fine for me (without using any native dlls) although I have no idea if it
actually works. Is this still a problem for you with current Wine?

As someone on wine-devel reported playing Civ2 is possible (despite some
performance problems) I guess this is no longer a problem?

"err:module:import_dll Library sqlite.dll (which is needed by L"F:\\AGE.exe") not
found" is a meaningless error to you?
If you get that you are definitly not loading the dll dynamically...
The second bunch is just the debugger loading up, to investigate further we need
at least a backtrace or even better an application demonstrating the problem.

Summary: securom not working anymore / warcraft cant find cdrom

I could play wc3 just fine with the previus release. Reading through the changes
I thought I'd give it a try (as I didnt use any options in the configfile
anyway...).
After backin up the config file and updating to 20050628 the game does not find
the cdrom anymore ...
I tried moving ~/.wine to ~/wineold and start with a fresh install, using
winecfg to configure the devices (C: hd, d: cdrom). No luck. Installation works
fine, but the game still cant find the cdrom.
This might be a misconfiguration on my side or a broken securom / device mapping
whatever in wine...
nice work anyway ;)
