This message was too early, my own wine used the wrong libs, so it worked by
accident.

------- Additional Comments From RonnyPeine(a)gmx.de 2005-08-08 05:40 -------
I built wine-20050725 by hand again, because gentoo kicked out the debugging.
therefor i found out, that it works with wine-20050725. it was a bad patch by
the gentoo maintainers that crippled wine in this area, so sorry for the
noise, i will fiddle with the gentoomaintainers of wine.
Thanks for your help.

Summary: Sound problems in Icewind Dale II (regression)
Product: Wine
Version: 20050725
Platform: PC
URL: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=1033
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-dsound
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: astralstorm(a)gorzow.mm.pl
The sound stutters unless I disable hardware acceleration. (That is set it to
Emulation). With OSS, there's even no sound at all unless I do that.
Second, the game crashes with Wine 20050628 and 20050725. This has been reported
in the bug 2335. There's more info at that bug.
The sound works fine in 20050110.

Hello I am John Barkas(risc4all(a)yahoo.com).
There is a typographic error in the readme.txt file which is inside wine-w32api-
20050725.zip .In the file you write:
"All the contents of the packages are protected by copywrite, and are
the intellectual property of the Wine development team. A complete
list of the copywrite holders is in the AUTHORS file, provided with
this package.". It should be copyright not copywrite ON BOTH WORDS.KEEP UP THE
GOOD WORK!

Should work if you use
wineconsole --backend=user far.exe
Without the --backend=user option it uses terminal emulation (the current
terminal window), and I can confirm that function keys don't work (SUSE 9.3, KDE
konsole, wine-20050211).

Did you try with the most recent WINE versions? Recent versions have advanced
much with installshield and MSI.

Summary: one-pixel garbage between lines using some fonts
Product: Wine
Version: 20050211
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-console
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: avarga(a)freemail.hu
This is still me, with FAR Manager in SUSE 9.3 stock Wine, with wineconsole
--backend=user Far.exe. When I select some fonts for the console using
Properties->Font, there's one pixel-line of garbage between text lines. This
occurs e.g. with the Monofonto and Luxi Mono fonts. This may be the problem of
these fonts, but even with other fonts (Courier New, Cumberland AMT) there seems
to be a 1 or 2-pixel gap between lines in FAR's panel border. So maybe it's bug
in font height calculation or something like that.
