(That is set it to Emulation). With OSS, there's even no sound at all unless I do that. Second, the game crashes with Wine 20050628 and 20050725. This has been reported in the bug 2335. When I select some fonts for the console using Properties->Font, there's one pixel-line of garbage between text lines. This occurs e.g. with the Monofonto and Luxi Mono fonts. This may be the problem of these fonts, but even with other fonts (Courier New, Cumberland AMT) there seems to be a 1 or 2-pixel gap between lines in FAR's panel border.
