About the same problem with AceFTP
Free download for trial
http://software.visicommedia.com/en/products/aceftpfreeware/
wine-20050524-1fc1winehq
Problem starts before I do the FTP thing.
When I drag a file within the local pane(a listview),
a copy of that file is immediately created. But things
don't stop there. The moment I move the mouse a bit,
AceFTP asks me with a popup menu if want to:
Move to current location
Copy to current location or
Create a short
If I choose to copy, ANOTHER copy of the file is created.
After that, every time I move the mouse,
AceFTP asks me again, thus an infinite loop
and infinite number of copies of the same file.
BTW. I have to use native shell related dlls for AceFTP to
display the local pane. So I suspect the problem is with
the interaction between native and builtin code.
I hope my English is good enough for me to make some sense...

Well i found out, that it works without direct3d (well not very nice without
the higher resolution). With direct3d it worked with wine-20050111. Maybe a
Direct3d patch broke it, i will look further.

If i start Diablo2 it gives only 'Error 25: A critical error has occured while
initializing Direct3D'. This worked with wine-20050111, so this is a
regression. I will look further which patch broke the game, but now i don't
have the time for it. I will post again, when a put this down to a patch.

Summary: DISCINFO program can no longer read DVD / CDRW drive
capabilities
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
URL: http://discinfo.rpc1.org
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-programs
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: rankincj(a)yahoo.com
I have downloaded a program called DISCInfo, which can read the settings and
capabilities of a CD-ROM/CD-RW/DVD-ROM etc drive. (Downloaded from
http://discinfo.rpc1.org). This program used to work fine in SPTI mode, until
about the time that the winecfg tool went "live". However, now it identifies
both my DVD-ROM and my CD-RW drives as Hard Disk Drives (although it gets the
drive letters right). Not only that, but now I get the following messages
written into my kernel log every time as well:
hdc: write_intr: wrong transfer direction!
hdd: write_intr: wrong transfer direction!
This application never worked in ASPI mode, and it still doesn't.

Summary: IE6 installer says all folders are invalid...
Product: Wine
Version: 20050725
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: marek.zachara(a)telperion.pl
I'm trying to install IE 6 SP1 using sidenet scripts (but the same effect
happens when i just run wine ie6setup.exe). The installing process goes OK
until the phase when it requires to supply installation path (default C:
\Program Files\Internet Explorer). then no matter what path do I choose, i get
"The folder 'C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer' is invalid..." message. This
also happens when i choose 'browse' and select one of the existing
directories. I might be doing something wrong, but i don't know what...

Summary: Cursor image left behind in Codewright 5.1d
Product: Wine
Version: 20041019
Platform: HP
URL: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=483
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ciffer(a)tlink.ca
Codewright (5.1d) via wine on Linux seems to leave garbage cursor images around
quite frequently when the cursor is moved around using the cursor keys. It's
something to do with the flashing cursor and the timing of when the cursor is
moved; I tried running with "Synchronous" = "Y", but that did not help. I've
tried the latest wine (20050524) and this has the same problem.
