------- Additional Comments From marcus(a)jet.franken.de 2005-18-09 12:46 -------
there is no shell globbing done by wine and CreateProcess()
(replacing "*.bla" by foo.bla, bar.bla usw..)
CreateProcess is not supposed to glob, either you have to do that
in the win32 program, or call the right shell.

Summary: Picasa "Locate On Disk" feature does nothing
Product: Wine
Version: 20050830
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
I'm running 20050830 compiled from the tarball, with a couple
patches from Mike M.
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2005-September/040024.html)
As with all my other reports today, I'm running 'pure', with no
real Windows anywhere on my disk.
The "Locate On Disk" feature, which should pop up Windows Explorer
on the folder containing the image, doesn't do anything.
To repeat:
0. Install Picasa from http://toolbar.google.com/picasa/picasa2-setup-1884.exe
1. Start Picasa
2. Right-click on an image and pick "Locate On Disk"
A windows explorer window should pop up, but nothing happens.
(Not sure what Wine should do until it has its own implementation
of Windows Explorer...)

Summary: Garbage appears in Picasa's Search field after leaving
import screen
Product: Wine
Version: 20050830
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux

Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2005-September/040024.html)
Garbage appears in the search field of the main screen after
importing images. Sometimes backspacing over the garbage
doesn't get rid of it, so there's something fishy going on.
To repeat:
0. Install Picasa from http://toolbar.google.com/picasa/picasa2-setup-1884.exe
1. Start Picasa
2. click "Import" button
3. click "Cancel" button (to see it, you may need to click the Maximize button,
that's another bug)
You should now see a few bytes of garbage in the search field
in the upper right of the screen. Sometimes the garbage
is ignored, sometimes it causes all images to be filtered out
(since none match the garbage), displaying "No pictures found".

Summary: Picasa "Import All" button ignored
Product: Wine
Version: 20050830
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-user
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com

http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2005-September/040024.html)
I downloaded and installed Picasa from
http://toolbar.google.com/picasa/picasa2-setup-1884.exe
The "Import All" pictures from a folder button seems to be ignored.
To reproduce:
1. Start picasa
2. Click the "Import" button
3. Click the "Select Device" button
4. Choose the "Folder ..." option
5. Navigate to a folder that contains images
6. Click the 'Import All' button
Notice that absolutely nothing happens.
It's as if the event is ignored.
Clicking it should dismiss the dialog box, but doesn't.
(There are problems importing individual images, too,
but that's a different bug.)

I think it's important to note that the bug you point to talks about sound
clicking and volume fluctuations, this bug is about the game _crashing_.
This is a clear regression, since both RoC and Frozen Throne used to work
perfectly on Wine.

With a fresh install of wine and wine version set to 98 I get the following error.
A newer version of DCOM95 or DCOM98 had been installed.
To override, you must uninstall the current version first.
Could you give us a list of programs that still require native DCOM? Please...
