| wine: Call from 0x7bb49be0 to unimplemented function msvcrt.dll.__p__amblksiz,
aborting
| wine: Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger...
Function msvcrt.dll.__p__amblksiz isn't implemented in Wine yet.
While it isn't, you can try running Unreal with 'msvcrt=n' override:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES='msvcrt=n' wine ...
(once you have this PE DLL on your wine-system on a disk)
And I suggest to change some fields:
Summary = 'msvcrt.dll.__p__amblksiz isn't implemented'
URL = 'http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=122';
Component = wine-misc;

I take it that all your patches on this page are already in cvs, as it doesnt
apply - "did you mean -R", patch says. Correct?

The most recent update to Gentoo for xorg 6.8.2 has the corrections to the patch
in it, and wine works with it now. The patch is similar to that posted by dejan
(thanks). I would recommend that people notify their X maintainers that the
patch needs a patch :).

The default emulated Windows version was recently changed from 98 to 2k, try
setting it to back to 98 using winecfg.

I my earlier comment back: The problems with my CVS build were unrelated to this
bug, CVS Wine _does_ seem fine, even with the original version of the X.org patch.
Sorry.

When using wine DCOM98.EXE

You need Windows 98 to install DCOM98. If you are using Windows NT please
install latest service packs.
If you use the WINEDLLOVERRIDES thing you get a traceback error but I dont have
that avaliable at the moment. However I will get it to you as soon as I can.

Summary: Wine failes to compile in Ubuntu Hoary and Ubuntu
Breezy.
Product: Wine
Version: 20050830
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P5
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: philip.kent(a)ntlworld.com
Upon compiling Wine on Ubuntu Hoary or Ubuntu Breezy it crashes while getting to
compiling the X server libary. Sadly I do not have time to type it up here but
more information is avaliable here:
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=65915&highlight=wine
I get both errors posted (actually I am PPower).
I can report that this problem also occures under CVS (however at the time the
CVS hasnt been updated since 20050830 was dropped out. so it doesnt really make
any difference). I have tried this with gcc 3.4 (with cpp 3.4 and g++ 3.4) and
gcc 4.0 (with its revelent cpp and g++)
Thankyou.
