Probably underruns crashing the game in both instances. Affects both RoC and
Frozen Throne. Pretty much the same as bug 2853 for WoW. This bug affects alot
of apps.

Patches submitted here tend to bit rot. I have submitted the patch (in Christian
Lupien's name) to wine patches
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2005-September/020742.html
Hopefully it gets applied soon.

Also confirming that deleting x11-servers/xorg-server/files/patch-CAN-2005-2495
and rebuilding the port resolves the problem.

Confirming that this is an issue on FreeBSD too. This patch was added to
xorg-servers on 12 Sep 2005 14:21:40. I am yet to try it with it removed, but
I'll keep youposted.

Exactly the described behaviour was experienced with the application MATLAB4. I
think the provided patch should really go into the wine cvs. Please apply.

Summary: Frozen throne crashes in game
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

Here are two output sessions. Both are in opengl mode of the game.
The first one leads me to believe the problem is
audio-related (esp. since sound stutters). It's running with OSS.
The second one is the same thing with ALSA, but it generates a GLX error.

I continue to get this even under the current CVS version of wine, so that
rumour is bunk.
