Note that not all nocd's completely remove the copy protection, some just make
the application ignore the results.

Summary: Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 crashs at start
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-kernel
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: greg87(a)online.de
I used the retail version of the game and patched it to latest version (v242).
Then I used a nocd crack because original exe has copyprotection.
Though application crashed. I'll attach some logs.

I just tested the Demo, and it does indeed work. I installed the full version
some time ago, so maybe I should try reinstalling it, using the suggestion you
gave. I will post here my findings. Thanks you for the very prompt response.

Summary: Winecfg exit when trying to open audio driver tab ( arts
related )
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P4
Component: wine-multimedia
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: cheaterjs(a)gmx.de
Winecfg exits when I'm trying to open the audio driver-tab. So I can't select an
audio driver. It doesn't crash, it just exits ( so I can't catch a backtrace
with winedbg, because there is none ).
Console messages:
~/wine$ winecfg
__driCreateNewScreen_20050727 - succeeded
__driCreateNewScreen_20050727 - succeeded
(SELECTING AUDIO DRIVER TAB)
Creating link /home/mrsuicide/.kde/socket-jan-laptop.
can't create mcop directory
~/wine$
I know this is arts-related, but I'm running a GNOME-only system.
Distribution: Ubuntu 6.06.1 LTS

The patch also improves Reason (pro audio application) quite a bit. It's
actually almost usable with the patch applied, still a bit slow, but the audio
glitches when scrolling the interface or opening a pulldown menu are gone.
Definitely an improvement!

Which version of Linux do you use? Can you attach your lcms.h?
