Summary: Wine crashed when ie6 connected to exchange web server
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.23.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: mmilgram(a)egenera.com
I am running Fedora Core 5 with the latest patches.
I Used ies4linux 2.0.5 to install ie6.
I connected to my company's exchange server via webaccess. It displayed the
main screen (including the folder list, message list, and one message. Then it
popped up the "Reminder -- Web Page Dialog" window. That window only shows its
border -- the contents of the window show the contents under the window (it
never filled in the window).
After about 15 seconds, the console from which I started ie6 displayed crash
messages (of Wine crashing).

Looks like this bug (in shdocvw) is fixed. The login window comes up fine using
native riched20. I already filed another bug for the richedit problem. Please
reopen if you still run into trouble.

Summary: Terragen water levels
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.23.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: mmatthe8667(a)comcast.net
Well have noticed that using Terragen with wine in linux you can't use negative
numbers in water level and it seems other parts to...like camera angles and
others as well...these numbers are crucial to Terragen to get it to do things
needed. I am not sure how to log what you need to see the error if there is one
that it gives when try to do the negative number in these fields. But it would
be something that would be great to have fixed. Thanks

With wine-0.9.23, the error message changed, although
the main bug itself is still present. When I try
to open a new form, it flickers and I have to kill it.
Ctrl-C gives the messages below.
However, some other small bugs are already fixed, like
the menus display correct Hungarian accented text,
the window that manages the taxpayer personal data
is now displayed correctly, the entries were offset or
displayed larger fonts that could fit in them.
The system is now an FC6/x86-64.

Yes. The problem here is that in D3D the depth buffer can be shared between an
offscreen and onscreen surface, and in wine we currently can't. That causes the
sky to be drawn over the terrain, giving the invisible terrain. I've got some
patches that fix this issue in my local tree, but at the moment they break a lot
of other things, and the performance is unacceptably slow.

I am not using a NoCD crack, and no error messages pop up - it simply hangs forever.
I tried Wine 0.9.18 (working the last time I tried), and it demonstrated the
same behavior.
I tried using the game's DirectX and OpenGL modes, and both demonstrated the
same behavior (though the DirectX mode popped up additional fixmes such as:
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DDeviceImpl_SetRenderState
(0x1b88c0)->(WINED3DRS_MULTISAMPLEMASK,-1) not handled yet
).
I tried running in fullscreen or windowed mode, to no effect. I also tried
running fullscreen and window inside of a virtual desktop, to no effect.

Wow that was impressive. Bug fixed. We can now mark this application a Gold!
I've tried all the functions of this program "RTFP" that I can find and
everything is working perfectly.
Can I count on this patch going in for 0.9.24?
Thanks again for the quick response,
I'll be using this for a flight on Sunday thanks to you!
Rick.
