I have same problem on my FC6 + wine 9.27.
Draw works great - photopaint crash on splash creen.
My log looks same - even address
"...Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0x007d204e in 32-bit code

1) Yes and No. Launching from a shortcut UBSpay.exe gives same result than
lauching it directly.
2) You're right.
I understand your point, but I do not understand why so many softwares can be
launched without cd'ing to their home path. I use plenty of other windows'
software, which don't require a batch.
It doesn't seem to be great issue (especially when one knows the workaround),
but it is still at least a strange behaviour.

Start winecfg, go to Audio tab and set "Hardware Acceleration" to "Emulation"

Please upgrade to latest Wine version (0.9.28) and try again.
Attach complete terminal output.
Also it would be really helpful if you provide small test app (compiled) to
demonstrate the problem.

Hi all,
my wine crashes for a while now. starting with version 0.9.25 it crashed
directly after starting it.

Tried reinstalling wine, glibc and then wine, and tried with
"1>overcommit_memory". No chances so far.
I use gentoo with gcc 4.1.1 and glibc 1.2.10
