When you choose in the menu(which is hidden because an other bug):
Szenario/Spieler-Eigenschaften(german version!)
translated into english:
scenario/player-properties
then wine crash. I will add logs for wine 0.9.15 and wine 0.9.16. (with both
wine versions it crash)

hi, thanks for the update. the hack/patch makes the cursor visible indeed in
Guild Wars. Although not complete maybe it could be turned into a patch into
cvs. Anyone could comment on this patch?

The fix I sent in wasn't correct. I'm adding a test case for MsiSetComponent
that will test setting a component that is not a part of a feature.

Fixed in 0.9.16. (The COM problem that keeps wsh from
running will be opened as a different bug.)

Sure enough, the following sequence of commands
rm -rf .wine
notepad (and quit immediately)
cp MFC42.DLL .wine/drive_c/windows/system32/
wine installers/WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu.exe
wine .wine/drive_c/windows/system32/cscript.exe
winecfg (set win98, and set ole32 to native only)
wine installers/DCOM98.EXE
wine .wine/drive_c/windows/system32/cscript.exe
does in fact show the cscript banner.
The wshENU.dll isn't normally present, and isn't required, it seems.
