Summary: Missing Text in World of Warcraft on ATI hardware.
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.21.
Platform: Other

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal

ReportedBy: nlaw(a)nildram.co.uk
Missing Text in World of warcraft. Problem exists in 0.9.21 & 0.9.22. On ATI
9550 hardware. ( I don't think the problem exists on Nvidia hardware ).
Adding the DisabledExtensions key to the registry as per the WoW AppDB page
fixes the problem, however this isn't the correct solution.
See http://appdb.winehq.org/appimage.php?iId=3948 for an example.

When running wow on wine, when you exit the game the WoW screen just freezes and
wine hangs. You have to kill wow.exe to quit. This happens with wine 0.9.21 &
0.9.22. It doesn't happen on earlier releases.

Thanks, but still nothing :( I am using OSS, but i tried it with Alsa and Alsa
patch, it was even worst (longer sound delay). And I tried it with thread patch
and under root, still the same crash.
Part of log file, still the same, missing Unlock, and from this Lock there is no
other Lock, but about ten other starts of DSOUND_timer.
