------- Additional Comments From e0425955(a)student.tuwien.ac.at 2007-03-01 14:45 -------
I've written a DX9 program with wineLib which tries something similar, rendering
to a texture and then painting this texture onto a primitve and I could
reproduce this rendering-gets-stuck (slowness) issue, although this time it
turns out it occurs when copying to texture in the depth_copy function when FBO
is enabled (where the output visual is correct), and doesn't when using
backbuffer for offscreen rendering (but the result is different, I see what was
rendered to texture and not the surface with the texture on it with backbuffer,
or both). Maybe the slowness is really a graphics driver bug ...
When not setting the TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER parameter in depth_copy the slowness is
gone but I don't see anything (FBO).
As for the black background in NFSMW, enabling the save texture to file stuff in
drawprim shows that all textures that have been rendered to and are subsequently
used for rendering are plain white.

Did you remove ~/.wine directory?
Please _attach_ (don't paste) complete terminal output.

Created an attachment (id=4493)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=4493&action=view)
errors
This happened when I ran M002 after moving the .wine and and reinstalling MOO2.
Well that did not work. But it did give some very specific and interesting
error codes and Traces.

Bug dependency is when one bug blocks resolution of the other one. If anything,
then this crash should block the graphics glitch (because you can't get to it).
But if you can, then it's not blocked, and can be worked on at the same time.

I'm sorry - I'm a bit confused now.
I asked on IRC how to handle this situation and was told by Enverex to depend
the new bug on this one. I explicitly asked, because I was unsure whether to
file 7071 or not, as 7064 needs to be fixed in order for developers to verify
7071 (you can't really verify a graphical glitch if the game crashes before you
see any graphics).
So - how else do I tell developers that a bug can only be verified when another
bug is fixed first? Or should I (contrary to what was said on IRC) not file bugs
like 7071 in the first place?
