I can't reproduce this issue with Wine versions up to 0.9.28 on a Debian
unstable with kernel 2.6.16.37.
I'm observing mouse issues around bug #881 (different from what I said
previously, I'm no longer sure it has become worse), but no complete hang or
crash of the game (it crashes after I quit, but that's a different bug).

I should mention that the "theme" of the error message ("fonts.lbx [entry 0]
could not be found") is that of my ubuntu gnome, and by clicking okay it and the
blackscreen disappear, leaving me with the shell. It may be of some importance
that the theme is exactly like all other windows in my gnome gui.

Created an attachment (id=4494)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=4494&action=view)
shell error messages
I forgot to mention: moo2 gave the same error (against a black screen) as it
did originally: "fonts.lbx [entry 0] could not be found". I checked and it's
there. When I ran it this time I got similar errors, but no audio suggestions.
These are the shell messages.

grateful for the feedback on this what version of wine did you use
please. I did copy a lot of files to their correct locations when I
installed it under wine but it still would not run for me glad to hear
you got it to work.

Keith.

------- Additional Comments From j.ramos(a)rcn.com 2007-03-01 15:28 -------
I originally started with version 0.9.28 with very little success. I was told
that there was a regression with any version north of 0.9.15, upon hearing that
I purposely downgraded and actually made more progress than with 0.9.28. If I
must choose a bug, even though I mentioned them not knowing if they were
related, I choose to have the video bug resolved first, then i'll submit a bug
for the "??? exceptional error". Thank you for your prompt response, I do
appreciate that.

Off course the problem is critical, when not even a blocker. I can't play and it
also won't work with version 0.9.28 !
I've got now LFS.

>From what I'm reading, I would guess that the Geforce FX doesn't like the
glCopyTexImage2D call on NPOT textures (or not at all). Does killing the
depth_blt call make any difference? Setting the filtering in depth_copy is
pretty much required to make things work at all, so it's not that surprising
that it makes things faster while breaking things.

Have you tried *installing* the JRE and Tomcat on Wine instead
of copying the files? It may not work on Windows either if you
just copy the the files...

This could caused by one of the many things you did wrong. Does your NTFS drive
even have write support enabled? As what Dejan said, DO NOT use root, do NOT run
from a Windows partition directly.
Closing as invalid. Feel free to re-open this if the same issues occur after
installing it WITH WINE onto the fake windows drive inside Wine and as a user,
not root.
