Summary: Morrowind Pixel Shader water looks too "harsh" and
generally wrong
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ben(a)atomnet.co.uk
The Pixel shaded water now works courtesy or new patches but still seems to
harsh like someone has applied a few million "sharpen" masks to it in a picture
editor. It's also rather too... sparse.
For reference this is what it should look like:

This not only happens in desktop mode but also with unmanaged windows.

The terminal output isn't very illuminating, someone will
have to take a closer look.

That GUID (88d969c0-f192-11d4-a65f-0040963251e5) is CLSID_DOMDocument40 (see
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305019 ). Please try with a native version of

well that's odd. No such issues with the menu here :-/
So I'm stuck lowering my res or using <=0.9.27 for now. Seems the kind of
thing I would hope can be reproduced. Seems to be confined to Deus Ex, Farcry
and Jedi Academy are fine. Incidentally, of the three, Deus Ex is the only one
that doesn't appear over kicker in fullscreen.

It may be because I was using 1164x962 (or something like that). Deus Ex goes
screwy at 1280x1024 due to the menu size wrapping around and becoming giant.
