--- Comment #204 from Ryan May <rmay(a)ou.edu> 2007-10-15 11:57:00 ---
The new approach fixes a lot of problems Weatherscope 1.5.2 was having. Now
some of the OpenGL widgets appear correctly. However the main menubar is still
overdrawn by the main window background color, though the main window widget is
drawn to the correct size (ie, there's a blank white bar at the top where the
main menu should be.) So there's a definite improvement in wine 0.9.47, at
least here with nVidia 100.14.19 drivers.
Are there any settings that control the approaches, or is it an automatic
selection?
For anyone wanting to look at this bug, Weatherscope is available here:
http://sdg.mesonet.org/builds/final/win/WeatherScope/WeatherScope-1.5.2.exe
Just be sure to run with the full command line:
wine c:\\Program\ Files\\Weathersoft\\Weatherscope.exe
(for default install)

Morrowind was set to be fullscreen and the gap wasn't big enough to be a
title-bar anyway.
Either way, it doesn't seem to be happening anymore. :)

Not sure what to do with this bug. I -was- in the correct directory when
running setup. It seems that it just doesn't like having setup.exe called
directly. So is this something Wine should handle differently or just a freak
incident? Resolving as invalid due to it being the games own weirdness for now.

Are you sure you're using the right thing?
Using standard Wine I installed Battlefield 2 successfully then installed the
1.41 patch without issue.
Please try with Wine .47 and a brand new .wine folder and reopen this bug if it
persists.

Hello,
same goes for Tournament.com client (v1.66),
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=9423
With winetricks mono112 (requires NET 2.0) the app still needs
mscoree:CorBindToRuntimeEx() to be correctly implemented (actually returning
"live" instance).
Nowadays there are more and more native apps that host/instantiate the CLR from
unmanaged C++
Regards.
