Summary: Regression: MechWarrior 3 sound breaks with 0.9.29
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.32.
Platform: Other
URL: http://downloads.gamezone.com/demos/d2002.htm
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-dsound
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: liquitsnake(a)gmx.net
Sound works fine with 0.9.28, but I can't hear anything with 0.9.29, 31 or 32
(30 won't let me launch it)
I can't find any differences in the 28 and 29 logfiles, but I'm attaching the
non-sound version anyway.

Backtrace is useless since you didn't recompile Wine with debug symbols.
Once you do that, please provide more (~500) lines of the log before the crash,
+ the crash log WITH DEBUG SYMBOLS.

Hi Byeong-Sik, i think it would be a good idea to send in the patch anyway, even
if it's not perfect. Currently AddFontMemResourceEx is only a stub, and your
patch is defintely an improvement, as it solves this bug. If we're going to wait
for someone to write a better implementation, i fear we can wait a long time :(

Not major unless a lot of other apps start exhibiting the same behavior.

Component: wine-misc

I installed the German version of Office 2000 with wine 0.9.32. At every start
of Office 2000 a registry error is reported (I will attach a screenshot).
My poor translation to English is here:
-----
The Windows registry detected that one or more
needed files are damaged or are missing. To solve
this problem please execute the Word setup program.
