Do you have /emul/ia32-linux/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale directory in your
Linux system as suggested in The Debian GNU/Linux AMD64 HOW-TO:
http://alioth.debian.org/docman/view.php/30192/21/debian-amd64-howto.htm
"One last thing: for 32bit programs needing X locales you might also want to
export XLOCALEDIR=/emul/ia32-linux/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale"

Do you think this is related to bug 7553 ? Vitaliy suggested that it could be,
so I've tried patch 5030 ("Cut down variant of the patch") against current git,
with no visible changes.

Is that with the last version of the patch?

Closing then. If anyone can get it running on a real windows 2000, he/she can
reopen the bug.

Regression testing: bug caused by commit c8901d6f6253f6c97610eb1068ac4ff89758ed0a
Patch for bug 7061 doesn't fix it after all.

Similar to bug#4297.
I see the same problem on x86_64 and en_US.UTF-8 locale: when running
notepad.exe and typing one of the German non-ASCII characters (รค, the a-umlaut),
I get
$ LANG=en_US.UTF-8 wine notepad
err:keyboard:X11DRV_ToUnicodeEx Please report: no char for keysym 00E4
(adiaeresis) :
err:keyboard:X11DRV_ToUnicodeEx (virtKey=E9,scanCode=64,keycode=30,state=10)
Same with LANG=C. This is wine-0.9.31 on Kubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft AMD64 (!).
According to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WineForAMD64 I've installed the
32bit version of wine on the amd64 system - which might be a hint as to why this
error occurs.
@Roman: Do you have an AMD64 architecture as well? Or a normal 32bit system?

I noticed a chars.dat file in my home folder. I cat'ed it, and found that it was
a character file saved by Runeword Wizard. At the first startup, it asks for a
character name and level. Since it was saved there, I tested putting the data
files (runes.dat, items.dat and runewords.dat) in my home folder (that is,
/home/snild). It works.
So, for some reason Wine is trying to find these files in my home folder instead
of the directory of the running application. It probably has something to do
with how the app tries to access the files. I've sent a mail to the author of
Runeword Wizard asking for the source code, or at least the snippets concerning
the .dat files.

Created an attachment (id=5188)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=5188&action=view)
Very reduced available fonts list
The accents are still ok, but now I can only select less than half of the fonts
I have installed... Wingdings 1, 2 & 3, for example, cannot be selected. The
list of available fonts for me now is:
AlBattar (not sure where I got this one)
Apple Garamond (I have Apple Garamond Light, too, by the way)
Arial (I also have Narrow, Black and Rounded)
Calibri
Candara
Comic Sans MS
Consolas
Constantia
Corbel
Default Monospace
Justinian
Pristina
Default Sans Serif
Segoe Print
Segoe Script
Segoe UI
Default Serif
Small Fonts
System
Times New Roman
Trebuchet MS
Default Various Languages
Zekton
Then I copied all my font files (both from fonts:/Personal and fonts:/System)
over to $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/windows/fonts, but the list grew by one: WP
MultinationalA Helve (well, if I ever need a LATIN CAPITAL LETTER N WITH
MACRON, I know where to look...)
