I've applied the patch from 14th March (5354) to wine and this appears to clear
the issues for Terragen that I reported in bug 7188 (now marked as a duplicate
of this one) - the issues with the other app still remain but I guess that is
more due to the two rows of toolbar buttons

Confirmed. Open the program, go to your KDE install directory then navigate to
share/icons/crystalsvg/128x128/apps
The icons for the first page appear, but if you scroll down, no new ones appear.
Scroll back up and the ones that were at the top are still there though. You
can still select the images that don't appear in the right pane, and see it in
the preview pane on the bottom left.

This fixed the flicker problems I was having with Weatherscope, but now the
opengl window is not redrawn when and obscuration moved. For instance, the
image of a drop down menu remains on the opengl window after the menu is closed.
Interacting with the program and triggering a redraw causes the artifacts to
disappear.

@Robert Millan: It's really a PITA to play this way. I've copied the game
folder from a Windows installation and only launch it from Linux to put my
character in the TG, because that's the only thing I can actually do.
OFF-TOPIC:
By the way, I play in Sol server, who are you? :)
