I haven't touched anything in quartz since implementing the filter, and the only changes in quartz or msacm were removing a couple unused headers. I know that winemp3.acm is very touchy about invalid data and will crash like that if it starts getting bad data. Are the mp3s perhaps corrupted? Can you do a regression test to see which patch caused the problem? The first time you run the installer, it fails early with the dialog You have insufficient rights to install this product. Please login with local administrator rights and reinstall. Error [436:4:18] Oddly, running it again gets past that error, and on to the next. I'll attach the interesting part of a +relay,+text log.
