This is your distro's / WM bug and not Wine. Works perfectly here in the full
screen mode.

Using GNOME 2.16.2, on Gentoo ~amd64 with conservative flags (-march=k8 -O2
-pipe), Metacity WM. Setting to full screen leaves a window title bar visible
along with a panel bar.
WORKAROUND: Set option in winecfg to uncheck "Allow the window manager to
control the windows".

Summary: regression: OpenGL apps core dump when changing channels
with tvtime
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.37.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-opengl
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: mike(a)cchtml.com
I usually play World of Warcraft with tvtime running on my other monitor. I can
flip channels without a problem on 0.9.36 or earlier releases of WINE. Starting
with 0.9.37 if I try to flip channels WoW will freeze. If I look in my terminal
there's a bunch of Wine crash data.
Happens in either D3D or OpenGL render modes.
I have a nVidia 7950gt with the latest 9755 driver installed. The only thing
that changed was the version of Wine.

Hmm strange. I've just tested again now after an X restart, and I still seem
that same behaviour. Must be something specific to my setup...
Thanks for the registry key suggestion but I've already tried that, with exactly
the same result with each mode.

Luke: I'm not sure this is the case... I always run CSS at 1280x1024, fullscreen and
it normally crashes.
Another thing to try, run regedit, go to:
HKCU -> Software -> Wine -> Direct3D
Set the OffscreenRenderingMode key to the value "fbo", "backbuffer" and "pbo" in
turn, trying the game in each mode.
Good luck!
Phil.
