------- Additional Comments From chrism(a)cjsoftuk.dyndns.org 2007-09-05 13:53 -------
Also affects Command & Conquer 3, where buildings and units do not show some of
the time.
Makes it VERY hard to visualise your enemy base, even when it isn't cloaked, as
their buildings don't show up.
Please, whoever needs to fix the fixme, please do so!

What you need to do and what the original reporter needed to do was prove that
running at 100% is a symptom of a problem you are having. Neither of you have
actually described a problem. Likewise you need to prove it is not caused by a
configuration of your computer or distro. Lastly, for anything like this to
really be looked at, we would need profiling information to see what's sucking
up CPU time. Having 100% CPU itself is not indicative of a problem. And with the
variety of scheduler configurations, it could be actually valid operation under
linux.

Created an attachment (id=6197)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=6197&action=view)
WINEDEBUG=warn+all wine Syberia.exe > Syberia_log.txt 2>&1
Lauching Full Syberia with 24 bit display ATI properitiry drivers (16bpp mode
with Xorg's radeon driver did not help.)
I use the native msvcrt.dll when this log was taken.
I had to switch to a text mode console to run "wineserver -k" to end the game,
therefore there is probably some performace related errors/warnings in the end
of the log.

The command

ReportedBy: cja(a)gmx.net
The game starts and runs, but everything is black. First you hear the
background music for the publisher/creator logos movie, then the music
from the intro movie and then the main menu background music. The game
responses on pressing the escape key during the intro movies, it skips
and moves on.
This bug applies to the full Syberia game as well to the Demo. The
link attached is where you can download the demo.

Last update over a year ago.. There is still quite a number of WM-related items
on the todo on Alexandre's wiki page, so this is still a valid bug.
