I have studied this some more,
I think I understand what happens:
in the patched version we do not handle empty sections well when
we save the profile.
I will go through the profile.c to check that in every function
the empty sections and keys are handled correctly,
and prepare a new patch.

The known affected apps are definitely ones that use the storm.dll library for
2D graphics. This includes Diablo and Starcraft. The only possible affected
Warcraft game is BNE and I haven't tested it since the regression. It's actually
newer than Starcraft.

Wine does not directly support "double-clicking" an any exe files. So this is
the problem with your distro configuration. More specifically, whatever starts
Wine this way have to change into the directory with said "exe" file before
running Wine. This will require some sort of script.
So in other words - open bug with your distro about this. Wine can't solve this
problem for you.

Summary: Setup fails when using dbus automount
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: greg87(a)online.de
This is with KDE 3.5.6 (shouldnt matter though).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Simply let the cdrom automount by KDE
2. Go with Konqueror to the folder with the Setup.exe and click on it to start.
3. Soon there will be an error prompt to insert cd 1, but you cant do this
because all data is already on one cd/dvd.
The media gets mounted to system:/media/sr0/
The cdrom is configured in winecfg to use /mnt/cdrom
Using winefile let the setup succeed.

I looked into it when the bug was reported, but the bug is non-obvious and
non-trivial, so it's on my backburner.

This is very valid, and in fact, two people are actively working on this. Users
should be able to run any .NET application in Wine assuming Win32 Mono is installed.

Created an attachment (id=6464)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=6464&action=view)
debug "+ole,+typelib,+olerelay,+seh,+relay,+file"
This the new log obtained by the following command line :
LC_ALL=ja_JP.UTF-8 WINEDEBUG="+ole,+typelib,+olerelay,+seh,+relay,+file" wine
setup.exe
However, My 3D card is broken and I'm running wine in VESA mode, so I think the
output must be parasited by that. The error (0x80040154 Class Not Registered)
is still the same.
