Yeah you should file a new bug for that. It could also be a bug in the game as
it happens in both d3d and opengl. I have no idea under what component you
should post the report. I'm closing this bug now.

Strange - I had this bug before (my mentioning it on the AppDB discussion
preceeded the bug filing) but with 0.9.42, I have the same problem Austin has
(won't start - complains that MSVCP80 and MSVCR80 are missing, despite the fact
that both those dlls are already in the */SupremeCommander/bin directory. This
is after following each step in the HOWTO (except applying patches - I compiled
from unpatched source).

For me in wine 0.9.42, it tells me that the system is not suitable for
installing DX 9 and exits. Doesn't crash though.
Did you use native overrides? Set a different windows version? Can you retry
with a clean .wine directory?

Okay, upgraded (it's quite a lot of compiling here on Gentoo). Since then I
didn't have this crash, but will leave this bug open for a while to be sure.

That was right - with wine-0.9.42 it doesn't crash.
