Summary: Lord of the Rings Online - Stencil Shadows Graphical
Glitching
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.40.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ajackson(a)bcs.org.uk
When the StencilShadow option is disabled the game displays normally (see screen
shot 1), when the option is enabled the display gets darker (can be corrected by
adjusting the gamma options) and the objects (such as doors) display very weird
(see screen shot 2).
Let me know what log options you wish me to capture (and if you want then for
when it is OK/disabled and/or wrong/enabled) and I'll add the log file(s).

Thinking about it, a (very very) wild guess : maybe the sounds actually play but
with a volume of 0, and moving the slider sets their volume to a correct level.

When moving the sound effects volume slider in the options menu, the battle
sounds that should currently be playing will become audible, until they end. So
if you keep moving the slider up and down, the battle sounds work (obviously,
the game cant be played like this).
In any case, it might indicate that sounds are in fact mostly working, maybe a
small bug prevents them from playing normally.

Another version of the patch
The previous version was not correct. This has better error checking and passes
the test (corrected the non-default firstday branch)
