Using my NVIDIA box (no speakers, can't try audio) with clean .wine & wine
0.9.43, the video looks great (Nvidia FX 5200, binary drivers, kubuntu gusty).
The sprites display fine. I'll try it on my work computer (Nvidia 7200, w/
speakers :-P) and see if the results are the same.
Anyone else (ATI/Nvidia) care to verify these results?

I have a fairly recent nvidia card using the 100.14.09 proprietary drivers, and
yeah, it's significantly choppier than it should be (sound is smooth though,
but that's probably because my box is totally overpowered for this game). Lots
of fixme:ddraw:IDirectDrawImpl_WaitForVerticalBlank (0x168840)->(1,(nil)): Stub
as described.

In Guild Wars this happens too - when I hold the right button and click the
left button twice - fast enough, then it crashes. (Maybe it has to be exactly
quick enough to be recognized as double-click) When the gap between the two
left-mouse-button-clicks ist big enough nothing happens.

Interesting update: After reading the comment above by Saulius, I copied
msvfw32.dll and quartz.dll into the DVD Shrink directory and selected "native"
for each of them under winecfg.
DVD Shrink now will run without incident...but If I run more than one instance
(I usually run 4) they eventually start bogging down and the whole system will
come to a crawl.
I have also attempted running with just msvfw32.dll or quartz.dll as native,
but either way this results in the original symptom (crashes on mouse movement
after a min or so)

David Conde, you seems to can't read plain English either. Is that all the same
problem with your ppl?
Enough of crap already pasted here to make this bug useless and invalid.
Next time ppl read before you paste

I'm seeing this same behavior when trying to start ArmedAssault. The page just
shows "Please wait while the page is loading...".
I've tried using ies4linux but that seems to have trouble connecting over an
ssl connection unless win98 mode is used. Using win98 mode is not an option as
the game requires win2k or higher.
output when "Please wait while the page is loading..." is shown:

oh, sorry, :D
the ip's showed in iptraf was 116.0.0.0; but the right ip (as show in
sclientinfo.xml) is pk.xilero.net; i've pinged it, and got 75.126.144.116;
when i adjust its using the iptables rule, i get connected.
As i said, the server disconnected me several times in the second trace because
i already made previous success connections that day. I will do (if useful)
another stack over a successful play on the server.
bye!
