I set it to full and now sound works and the game does not crash or fail anymore (with the native dm.. dlls). DirectMusic still does not work out-of-the-box. For this submission, I ran 4 simultaneous instances and each crashed with similar output, see attached. On previous versions of debian and ubuntu, this application has run flawlessly.
