Photoshop 5.5 seems fine here (though it does
seem to switch focus between the main window and
the tool window as you move the mouse
over the tool palette, which is wierd).

Summary: Photoshop 6 can't do "File / New"
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: Other
URL: http://www.tucows.com/get/214261_90608
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: download
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
Something quite strange happens in Photoshop 6 Tryout
when you do File / New. The filename is truncated
to just U instead of Untitled, and when you
click OK, it says "This image would be too large
to store in a file", for no obvious reason.
Playing around with it at all often yields
the error "Invalid numeric entry." This last
error happens in many other places in the program,
including when you try to exit the app.

Could you try this in wine 0.9.42 and report back?

Easy to reproduce - the app starts up fine,
but when you move the mouse over the
tool palette, the tooltips are displayed
behind the tool palette window.

Summary: Photoshop 6's readme file doesn't display properly

When you install Photoshop 6 Tryout, the
installer succeeds, and offers to pop up
the readme (a .wri file). Wine does in
fact pop up Wine Wordpad with the commandline
Write.exe c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 6.0 Tryout\Photoshop Tryout Read Me.wri
but the file is displayed completely garbled.
I'll attach the readme here.

Ok, with current git, the savegame does not "work" anymore. You can still
reproduce it using the clicking-method, but it became hard to do.
