If you use the native version instead of Wine's builtin (add an exception in winecfg), this problem will not occur (then, of course, due to problems with itircl.dll, the HTML Workshop will not work out of the box, I'm going to add an entry to the Wine AppDB on how to get it working). You have to start with full path, then a nice little login window comes up (wine "c:\Program Files\ShVIP\hall\sh_hall.exe").
