--- Comment #16 from Jaroslav Fojtik <fojtik(a)penguin.cz> 2007-09-30 04:07:07 ---
After inslalling a new kernel I confirm that the described crash don't occur
immediatelly after execution.
In wine 0.9.5 it crashes after loading image, and after a long while
wine-0.9.45 crashes a same way. I will open anothe bug, just because this seems
to be a different problem.

I tried Master of Orion II today and found the problem gone!
Recent changes I've done:
- Updated to wine 0.9.46 (I think I still had this on 0.9.45)
- Installed Compiz-Fusion
- Maybe updated NVidia drivers? (did a 'emerge -uDNvat world' in gentoo)
I'll take a closer look, what caused the problem to go away, though I guess it
has something to do with Compiz.

Summary: Itunes 7 and the my music folder
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.46.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-multimedia
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: jzimm0007(a)msn.com
It does install successfully with version 0.9.46, but it complains about the my
music folder and exits. I bet this can be resolved by creating a "Documents and
settings\"Profile"\My Documents\My Music\Itunes" Folder I don't know how you
would create the user profile and even if you did, would itunes recognize it?

I've added a 'volnum' verb to winetricks to implement the workaround.
It lets e.g. wsh 5.7 get past the volume name check.

Hi Richard, I have exactly the same problem , my uo client just freezes after
anywhere from 5min to 20min gameplay. I have tried everything from uninstalling
game to updating drivers and nothing worked so far, I still freeze.
You said you are using aRts/OSS/no sound.. can you explain to me what that
means ?I'm not really good in cpu stuff but I would love to learn how it works.
I've been trying to solve this problem for months..
I had to desactivate my account because I freeze all the time
It's strange because I don't have this problem with WorldOfWarcraft or any
other games with better graphics.
Someone told me it might be a sound problem, anyone think this could be the
problem (sound) ? Any help is very appreciated, thank you.

8 bit xserver wine crash
When seting the depth of xserver to 8 bit wine crashes, so it may be two issues
involved here. BTW: is 8 bit for xrandr, or workaround for wine planed? I
couldn't find any info in this matter.
