Going back to .38 fixed that one but made the currently active cell or whatever the area just around the character is black. No texture at all there anymore. Needless to say that I went back to .46 which is more usable. BTW I can sometimes get a working map with .46. To do this I must start in 800x600, switch to 1024x768 where I'll have trouble to get even the menu visible and then back to 800x600.
