Well, it isn't just with video files: I'm trying to run an application that is
supposed to call DOSBox but, before it does so, I get the same error:
fixme:imagelist:ImageList_DrawIndirect ILS_ALPHA: unimplemented!
I'm running Wine 0.9.56 on Gentoo Linux running kernel 2.6.23-gentoo-r8.

Hello,
--- snip ---
Important to be fixed, but not likely for 1.0. Setting for 1.1.
--- snip ---
This bug is actually a meta bug which opens a can of worms if one overcomes the
first obstacles. Targeting for 1.1 seems logical.
The main problem domain will be dynamic HTML/embedded JScript which the
installer makes extensive use of (currently requires native mshtml, shdocvw,
shlwapi, urlmon overrides).
As for the initial installer bug .. it's not obvious and requires debugging the
installer to the bitter end.
Regards

Though for the first time in years it looks like it might be doable with
reasonable effort. :)
In case anybody is interesting in working on this, I'll gladly offer my
assistance.

Sincere apologies, I specified the line wrong...!
WINEDEBUG=+tooltips,+msg,+spy,+relay
(Note the 's' on tooltips)...
Could I please ask for the log again, plus the same as last time (ie expected
text of the tooltip (preferable the start of it, as trace may truncate it)

(In reply to comment #7)
> Is this still an issue in current (0.9.54 or newer) wine?
>
Yes still an issue, directplay doesn't work unless you use native dlls.
