Commenting out DeviceLoadTest() call, the ddraw test fails like this:

The mem hack patch doesn't fix it I'm afraid..
Have you talked to Thunderbird (Roderick) about this?
I had quite a long discussion with him about it when I first filed this bug: he
seemed to understand the problem pretty well.

Unfortunately AutoCAD 2006 Retail Polish still fails on the .net 1.1 SP1
installation, even with dotnet20 installed. Installing dotnet20 or/and dotnet11
via winetricks does not make the installer happy. I've reported a separate bug,
specifically about .net 1.1 SP1 here #13995 .

You may want to re-open this bug, I'm getting the same problem with wine 0.9.60
through to 1.0 itself, the minimap is showing only points of interest, nothing
else but black. I'm also running ubuntu 8.04, and an nvidia 8800 video card.
