Lego Star Wars II log under Wine 0.9.55
In spite of what the latest test data on appdb says, Lego Star Wars II runs
well with Wine 0.9.55 as long as you provide d3dx9_30.dll and xinput1_2.dll.
However, even though background music plays fine, none of the in-game sounds
work. These include:
* gunshots
* voices
* footsteps
I am guessing this is a dsound bug of some sort. I'm willing to provide more
debug data under a developer's discretion.

Contains both wine's debug report and game's log.
While game is starting, desktop resolution changes, black window appears, and
soon afterwards game crashes, desktop resolution restores and I'm returned to
desktop.
I guess it could be a bug in wine's direct3d implementation. I've attached
wine's debug output, and game's log.

Startup works fine. Everything works except for opening the inventory of a
specific character. The game turns into something slightly less than a Zombie
process at that moment, requiring an "End Process" from the System Monitor.
Possibly a sound card overload? Happens with all drivers.

Terminal output after crash
Bible Works crashes. This didn't used to happen with previous versions of
Wine.
It seems to happen when it's trying to handle lots of information - selecting
lots of text, or the program copies a long list of verses to another window.
Terminal output attached.

Summary: Fullscreen game windows are cropped to reveal GNOME menu
and task bars
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.5
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: i_am_nitrogen(a)hotmail.com
Fullscreen game windows (from games such as Warcraft III) are cropped by the
GNOME menu and tasklist panels.
For example, in Warcraft III, if my desktop resolution is set to 1920x1200 with
a 24-pixel panel at the top and bottom of the screen, and I set the game
resolution to 1920x1200, the window will be created with a size of 1920x1152,
but the game still thinks it has the full 1920x1200 to work with.
The window should fill the entire screen when set for fullscreen. This was
introduced in wine 1.1.4 and continued in 1.1.5. Wine 1.1.3 and 1.0 do not
exhibit this problem.

Summary: native dll import broke in 0.9.44 and on
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.44.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-comctl32
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: arno(a)teigseth.no
wtreader (Watchtower Reader) needs a native comctl32.dll to display a
tooltipbox when hovering the mouse over some link.
This used to work, but something broke from 0.9.43 and on.
Please note, I don't know if it would be correct to assign this to
wine-comctl32, the application is actually using the native comctl32.dll.
Interestingly, running winecfg and setting library comctl32.dll to NATIVE only
in 0.9.43 and earlier will let wtreader run.
But from 0.9.44 and on, if I set comctl32.dll to native only, a lot of error
messages comes up trying to run the app, saying something like "error importing
dll: comctl32.dll (needed by ...)" and also "error importing dll: commdlg.dll
(needed by ...)"
This makes me think maybe something having to do with calling/importing the
native dll broke from 0.9.44
my 2cents,
Arno

some debug logging when trying to connect to the lobby server
The game Silencer has just became playable again(the servers went down for
several years). When you try to join the lobby, it gets disconnected right away
and end up in the lobby but disconnected, you can't join or make any games.
The game can be downloaded from here:
http://community.arsia-mons.com/index.php?showtopic=161
It appers to be some problem with winsock:
http://community.arsia-mons.com/index.php?showtopic=188&st=0&p=2275
I have tried wine versions 0.9.45 through 0.9.39. Anything less than 0.9.40
wont even run the tutorials for me.
