Still an issue with 1.1.34. It works fine after applying Martin's patch
(thanks!).

Between Wine 1.1.33 and 1.1.34 a regression occurred in the support for Command
& Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath. This issue causes the game to crash suddenly after
about 10-15 minutes of play. Running a regression test (yes, this took a long
time) resulted in:

Summary: Warcraft III (Frozen Throne) performance issue (cpu at
100% all time)
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.31
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: emmeran(a)gmx.net
When starting Warcraft III - Frozen Throne using this command:
env WINEPREFIX="/mnt/musik/.wine" WINEDEBUG=-all wine explorer
/desktop=0,1680x1050 /mnt/disk/Programme/Warcraft\ III/Frozen\ Throne.exe
-opengl
but also without the parameters, or starting Warcraft III Reign Of Chaos using
wine /mnt/disk/Programme/Warcraft\ III/Warcraft\ III.exe
leads to one of my two CPU's being constantly at 100%, whilst the other isn't
used by wine at all.
I run a multithread test program, which showed me that multithreading in wine
works. Also I always use current nVidia graphics drivers. I had this problem a
long time already, but since the game is playable most of the time I didn't
care to report this.
I'm running Gentoo 32bit on a Nexoc E619 with a nVidia GF 8600M GT and a Intel
DualCore T7300, 2GHz.
The annoying thing about the problem is, that if you get some background
application spiking to 100% on the other CPU, the game will lag immensly.

Summary: OpenAL ignores Audio setting in winecfg
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.30
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: wylda(a)volny.cz
Hi, OpenAL ignores Audio setting in winecfg. Even if all sound drivers are
uncheck you can hear music and sound effects in openal free game TrackMania
Nations Forever.
Test case:
1. Before running the game, uncheck all sound drivers in winecfg
2. ./configure --without-openal & compile <--- audio silence
3. ./configure & compile <--- music and sound effects play
This was tested with 1.1.34, but i set the version to 1.1.30, where OpenAL was
introduced.
