This is the councel output from when the game crashes
I am new to wine and new to ubuntu. so this could be something easy like i do
not have the correct lib installed. I am finding out that not having the
correct lib installed is what most of my problems are.

I did some further testing of the issue that i posted above and this is what i
gather from the information. When I go to the appearance tab in creating a
character it has an animation at the top of the screen. Now when you import a
character you have to go through the appearance (and assign a voice to the
character) and the name tab again and the program crashes at the same spot as
it does when creating a new character. I have about one second or less when the
screen changes before the program crashes. I believe that it is the animation
that is causing the program to crash.
I did find that when i load a pre-made party that the game worked. to some
degree. There is a setting in the config.exe for the game located in the game
directory that i needed to change in order to get to play smoothly. It was the
slider bar for the FPS it is defaulted at 30 FPS and that is too slow. I just
maxed it out at 60 and then the game ran smooth.
I went into windows and created a party. First i copied the character files
over to the ubuntu\wine game and tried to import them. that is how i learned
about what i said above. So i went back to windows and started the game with my
newly created party and saved it as soon as i got off the ship. I copied the
save game over to the ubuntu\wine game and loaded my saved game. It worked fine
- to a point. There is a circular display of buttons that are for the menu
commands (i guess that is what i will call them but i am not sure if I am
correctly describing it) at the right of the screen. The top button takes you
to your inventory (I think) and when i click that the game crashes again. Now
the only similarity that i noticed in the two windows is that same animation
comes back up in the window. I have about the same amount of time as i do when
i clicked the appearance before the game crashes.
The terminal counsel does generate a debug error code for me. I will have to
load into ubuntu and get the information and attach it to this. i cannot
understand it but i hope that someone can.
Please bare with me this is the first thing that i ever posted.

I'm thinking now that the ClientScheme.res fix did actually work for the
headshot crash, but I thought it didn't since the game still crashed. I just
had it crash on me while I was walking and nobody was even shooting. I must
have something else going on, but I guess it still belongs under the title "CSS
crashes after a while"

I am having the same problem on two computers. I have wine version 1.0.1 and
wine 1.1.14 installed, on Ubuntu 8.10. I just went to applications add\remove
to install wine on the desktop and i followed the instructions from the
following web page http://www.winehq.org/download/deb to install it on the
laptop. It is a fresh install of wine and Icewind Dale II (no expansion pack).
On both computers. The game crashes at the same point on both computers. I am
creating a character and i get through the process most of the way but i come
to the second to the last option to the appearance option. that is where it
freezes.

Well, that fixed the crash on the headshots, but the game is still crashing
randomly after about 10 minutes, even when nobody is using the autosniper.

With today's Git (wine-1.1.14-394-g8ab829a), when starting SharedPlan Pro, the

difficult to dismiss them. The messages outputted until I terminated the

Attached is the Wine error log of IrfanView's crash
When using a toolbar skin other than the default skin, IrfanView crashes on
startup.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Install an run IrfanView on a clean Wine profile
2. Click "View > Show Toolbar options/skins..."
3. Select a skin other than the default
4. It seems to work. Now close IrfanView.
5. Start IrfanView again. It crashes on startup.
Note that IrfanView works perfectly using the default skin. Other skins work,
as long as you set it back to the default before closing IrfanView.
