Abandoned. If this still an issue in current wine, and you can provide the
needed information, feel free to reopen.

Is this still an issue in current (1.1.16 or newer) wine? Can you get a log
with debugging symbols? Looks like it may be a copy protection program...do you
know if the game has any?

The "Additionally, minimizing the whole application leaves a 1x1 window with
empty
caption in the center of screen, showed as vertical line." is bug #15069 Have
you tried the patch to see how it affects the MDI problem?

I can confirm this bug still exists in 1.1.16.
Made some more tests and it seams the problem happens with every MDI Delphi
application - the attached is Delphi 7 exe, I tested with Delphi 2009.
Additionally, minimizing the whole application leaves a 1x1 window with empty
caption in the center of screen, showed as vertical line.
I believe the priority/severity of this bug have to be changed since it affects
all MDI Delphi apps (such as PL/SWL Developer) and is pretty annoying.

Created an attachment (id=19864)

A log file of the output from running iexplore.exe in CLI
I'm using Ubuntu Jaunty 8/3/09 daily release
I managed to install IE8 Beta from Microsoft's website
(I put the installation file inside /Documents and Settings/Yaron/My
Documents/)
The installation went just fine and the files are all at the Program
Files/Internet Explorer folder
My only problem is that when I try to load iexplore.exe nothing happens
I copied the output from the CLI and copied it into a file for you to have a
look
