Summary: Help for Ubuntu 10.10 64 bits
Product: Wine
Version: 1.3.8
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: trivial
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: hugo.jorge.ferreira(a)gmail.com
I have Ubuntu 10.10 installed with 64 bits version.
Recently included "add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa" in my update list.
Reason: Office 2007 was not running (it runs on a 10.04 32 bits installation).
Now I have Wine 1.3.8, but Office still does not run.
In Word, I have "The program Winword.exe has encountered a serious problem and
needs to close. ..."
In Excel, I have "Unhandled exception 0x0000417 at address 0x7b837942. Do you
wish to debug?"
Do you have any documentation that could help me? From my searches in WineHQ
and Google, I did not found anything usefull.
Thank you very much.

--- Comment #15 from Wolfram Sang <wolfram(a)the-dreams.de> 2010-12-11 17:07:33 CST ---
With 1.3.9, I don't get corrupted GFX, but empty boxes. Every time I create a
rectangle to be filled with a pattern, I get
fixme:gdiplus:GdipCreateBitmapFromHBITMAP no support for device-dependent
bitmaps
which seems like a valid culprit.

> Is there any reason that this bug is not marked as fixed (and its dupe #12808)?
Because I was hoping someone would verify it and forgot to mark it fixed anyway
after a couple days.
