Summary: black screen on wine application after lucid upgrade
with ATI card
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.43
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: jan-winehq(a)h-i-s.nl
The wine application ¨Barbie als Rapunzel¨
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=8403
does not work anymore after the lucid upgrade.
In the previous ubuntu version it worked perfectly with wine 1.1-43, so I
suspect the ATI driver, although there might be a relation with wine.
This system suffered from an ATI bug in the previous ubuntu version:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/426582
I have removed all workaround lines from xorg.conf, to get sys information to
work again

Summary: The latest version of Spotify doesn't seem to play
nice with wine...
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.43
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: krank23(a)gmail.com
I'm running Ubuntu, 9.04. 64-bits.
When I upgrade from the wine version in Ubuntu's repositories to 1.1.43, and
run the latest Spotify client (0.4.3.383), my xwindows session abruptly crashes
and I get thrwn out to the logi screen.
This did not happen with the last version of Spotify.
And, if I downgrade wine to version 1.1.31 (the one in ubuntu's repos)
everything works.
So: the combination of wine 1.1.43 and Spotify 0.4.x, and my x64 system,
doesn't seem like a good combo.
See attached log.

I cannot reproduce this bug in the current GIT snapshot, probably it was
already solved in Wine 1.1.43.
