Summary: Fritz 11 crash when using 3D chessboard
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.29
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

terminal output
Fritz 11 is working with 2D chessboard but when selecting 3D, game crash with:
wine: Unimplemented function d3dx9_36.dll.D3DXCreateTextureFromFileExA called
at address 0x7b844633 (thread 001b), starting debugger..
Using winetricks d3dx9 doesn't help (in fact it makes it even worse, instead of
only aplication crash I get a serious xserver crash.)
Only change to default settings was disabling anti aliasing (in order to evade
bug 18333)
My system: Ubuntu 8.10, Radeon X1600 mobile, fglrx driver version: 8.593.

Summary: FFXI - POL screen flipping potential-fix causes crash

Terminal output from crash.
I installed Final Fantasy XI as per the appdb instructions and it worked as
well as it could, but like every other system I installed on POL would flip
upside down constantly. In the comments there is a posted solution of sorts to
the fliping:
adding the following key with regedit fixes this problem:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D]
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo"
If I add this key, POL crashes before it can load, terminal output attached.

Dummy implementations of _set_SSE2_enable and _set_purecall_handler
Now that bug 23126 is fixed, I tried running Mass Effect 2 Demo without
installing vcrun2005. It aborted because it called our _set_SSE2_enable,
and once I added a fake implementation of that, it aborted because it called
our _set_purecall_handler. Adding a fake implementation of that let the
app get as far as the intro screen that says "press any key".
Once you do, it hangs, outputting

Summary: AnzioWin: 2 taskbar entries for each running instance
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.17
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: giulioo(a)gmail.com
System:
Ubuntu 8.04
Wine 1.1.17 (binary from WineHQ APT Repository)
I'm using an app which when launched will show 2 taskbar entries (2 rectangular
things on the taskbar) for every instance running, instead of just 1.
This is a problem because only 1 of those is active and responds to clicks to
get focus / come in the foreground, so the user is confused, especially if he
has more than one instance running (ie: 2 instances = 4 taskbar entries).
Steps to reproduce:
1) Download and install (9MB)
http://www.anzio.com/pub/anzio16/anziowinsetup.exe
(30 days demo, 15 seconds nag screen at every launch)
2) Click on the new menu icon
programs -> Anzio 16 -> Anzio 16 (default connection)
3) Select vt220
4) wait 15 seconds at nag screen
5) Select telnet/ssh whatever and type an IP address in the upper right text
box (ie: the very same Linux box you are testing on) and press "connect".
6) Observe that in the taskbar you have 2 entries
1st "Anzio"
2nd "AnzioWin <ip.address.you.used>"
If you minimize the window, only one of those entries is active.
On Windows you only get 1 taskbar entry.

Still present in latest Git. Sadly the win98 trick no longer appears to work,
as when set, the following error occurs when lauching CSS:
"Failed to load the launcher DLL:
DLL init failed"

Seems to, yeah. I'm not sure if it's supposed to have that checkerboard pattern
over the menu though.
