However , while trying to start the game it just hangs. Wine output attached, let me know if you want a gdb backtrace (and if so, how you would like this backtrace obtained). The problem, prematurely, appears to be in GetSysColor() of user32.dll. Is the application trying to skin itself? I downloaded and launched hapedit. Font seems fine to me, but clicking on the "Browser" button fails to launch a browser to preview the current document. I peered at +reg traces but didn't see how it's trying to detect the default browser.
