Summary: Noteworthy Composer: no sound on playback
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.44.
Platform: Macintosh
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.4
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-multimedia
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: singingwolfboy(a)gmail.com
No sound output on playback. When I press the play button, a dialog pops up:
One or more of your selected MIDI devices are failing to open.
Would you like to go to the MIDI options tab to investigate?
In the MIDI options tab, nothing is listed under the "Available play devices:"
list, and "Wine midi mapper" is listed under "Devices used by play back:". If I
click OK without changing anything, another dialog pops up:
The following play devices failed to open properly:
Wine midi mapper
This problem must be corrected before proceeding.
If I move "Wine midi mapper" to the "Available play devices" list and hit OK,
the MIDI options tab closes, and the piece begins to "play": the notes are
highlighted one after another as normal, but there is no sound.
I believe this bug may be related to bug 9629.
System info:
Apple Macbook (Intel chip, 2 GHz processor, 1st generation white Macbook)
running Mac OS X 10.4.10. Running wine through Apple X11.

Summary: winecoreaudio compilation failure due to conflicts
with sys/queue.h
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.36
Platform: x86-64

OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.6
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal

AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: wine-2010(a)ryandesign.com
Hello, I maintain Wine in MacPorts and one of our users, our resident X11
expert Jeremy Huddleston, has reported that winecoreaudio doesn't compile right
on his system, and he believes that to fix this, the #include for "wine/list.h"
in dlls/winecoreaudio.drv/audio.c should occur after, not before, the #include
for <CoreAudio/CoreAudio.h>.
He suggests a fix like this be used:
http://trac.macports.org/browser/trunk/dports/x11/wine-crossover-games/file…
He also suggests that you should rename your macros (e.g. LIST_ENTRY,
LIST_INIT, SLIST_ENTRY) so they do not conflict with OS-defined macros on Mac
OS X and *BSD (in /usr/include/sys/queue.h). See more information in the
MacPorts bug report.

Summary: printing on Mac OS X fails
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.14
Platform: Macintosh
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: singingwolfboy(a)gmail.com
Noteworthy Composer v1.75 fails to find printers on when running through wine
(installed via macports) on Mac OS X Leopard. When the user tells Noteworthy to
print, it responds with an error window saying:
Before you can perform printer-related tasks such as page setup or printing a
document, you need to install a printer. Please install one and retry.
In addition, the following message is printed to the Terminal:
fixme:winspool:WINSPOOL_EnumPrinters We don't handle PRINTER_ENUM_CONNECTIONS
However, when following the identical steps while running Noteworthy though
Darwine (installed from http://thisismyinter.net/?p=47), printing works. The
error message to the GUI and Terminal are not present, and the printing dialog
pops up. Printing appears to work as expected.
Please note that this is NOT a Darwine bug: Darwine does this *correctly*.
Ideally, the Darwine codebase for print handling should be merged into the wine
codebase, so that wine can handle this correctly, as well.

Summary: CoreAudio driver stops playing sound when headphones
are plugged in or removed
Product: Wine
Version: 1.2-rc7
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.6
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown

ReportedBy: marvinx03(a)gmail.com
I'm not sure how best to describe this, but it's been affecting me for a while.
If headphones are plugged in or removed while Wine is running, Wine stops
playing sound until it is restarted.
For example, if I start wine with NO headphones plugged in, sound works great.
If I plug in headphones, it stops working. If I remove them again, sound still
doesn't work.
Similarly, if I start wine WITH headphones plugged in, sound works great. If I
remove the headphones, I get the same problem: the sound dies.
As far as I can tell, no useful "fixmes" or "errs" are sent to the terminal.
