Awesome! I've tried only the demo of Broken Sword but I also have the GOG
version which I'll try when I find the time. Unfortunately, there is no mouse.

Summary: Wine cannot run Microsoft Office Communicator 2007
(MSVCR80.dll/UCCP related)
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.3
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: cesar.negrete(a)gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=15791)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=15791)
This is the brief error I get when I try to run the program
I've succesfully installed Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 with help from
winetricks.
I installed corefonts, gecko, msxml3, vcrun2005 and tahoma, and it installs
correctly with winxp wine version.
When I try to run it, it sends a window with the infamous "Runtime Error!
Program C:\P... - R6034: An application has made an attempt to load the C
runtime library incorrectly", and it drops an error about :actctx: and
MSVCR80.dll on the console.
I seem to have the correct manifest files on the winsxs directory, and I think
all the needed dll's are in place.
I do NOT have a manifest for a ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Microsoft Office
Communicator/Uccp.dll file that I got over there.
What are the manifest files anyway? Is there a way to create these files out of
a dll file?
I've also tried to register the dll using regsrv32 Uccp.dll, but the result is
the same.
I can provide the Office Communicator 2007 installer if it helps.
Thanks

Ok I tried to apply the patch to the latest git but it did not work out well.
Applying the patch:
patch -p1 < ../WineTests/bug9051/soundpatch.txt
patching file dlls/dsound/buffer.c
Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n]
Apply anyway? [n]
Skipping patch.
1 out of 1 hunk ignored -- saving rejects to file dlls/dsound/buffer.c.rej
patching file dlls/dsound/primary.c
patching file dlls/dsound/tests/ds3d.c
Then I got compilation errors related to the patch. I didn't copy them, sorry.
If needed I can repeat the process later.
Anyway I tried re-applying the patch by replying [y] to Assume -R (don't know
what that means), it compiled but then I got the same error:
err:winediag:AUDDRV_GetAudioEndpoint PulseAudio "default" -22 without
handle_underrun. Audio may hang. Please upgrade to alsa_plugins >= 1.0.24
fixme:dsound:PrimaryBufferImpl_QueryInterface app requested IKsPropertySet on
