saved backtrace file
I've played OpenGeneral
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/opengeneral/files/DailyBuild/) for three years
without any problem under wine1.0 + ubuntu lucid 10.4. After upgrading wine
version up to 1.4 the program does not start at all (but still works with
wine1.0).

Bug #: 31250
Summary: Virtual desktop windows getting decorated on
resolution change
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.9
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: rmlipman(a)gmail.com
Classification: Unclassified
1. Launch a full screen game with resolution smaller than virtual desktop
resolution
2. Virtual desktop window resizes, gets window decorations
3. Close game
4. Virtual desktop resizes back to original size, but remains decorated
I have the "Allow desktop manager to decorate the windows" box unchecked, so I
wasn't expecting the virtual desktop to be decorated. It only becomes decorated
for me on resolution changes, but remains decorated until I restart wine, even
if resolution changes back to the full screen size.
Tested with Sim City 4 and Ys: The Oath in Felghana

Summary: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Major slowdown near anomalies or in
high RAD areas
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.43.
Platform: PC
URL: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=4794
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: vitaliy(a)kievinfo.com
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. slows down to 1-2 fps near the anomalies or in high radiation
areas - places with "white noise" special effect.
Game is set to static lighting, medium quality.
This is with GLSL=enabled and OffscreenRenderingMode=fbo. Using
'WINEDEBUG=-all wine XR_3DA.exe -dsound -nointro -nodistort' command line to
start the game.
Without "fbo" I'm getting bug 7979.

Can this be closed? It's open for 12 years and is different from other tickets
which are real bugs affecting usage.

I have tried to install Steam with wine 1.5.10 and am not able to as I cannot
see certain fonts (so i cannot see text)
As a test I downgraded to 1.5.8 and the issue is not present.
This is the same on Arch Linux (64) and Kubuntu 12.04 - both 1.5.10 the issue
is present, with 1.5.8 its gone...
See screen shot to see the issue.

The newest (probably beta) Steam in Wine 1.5.10
A new (probably beta since I'm subscribed to beta updates) update has just
arrived in Steam and it has rendered Steam useless - fonts are not rendered at
all.
It's not a regression in Wine, it's a change in Steam that has broken
everything.
