Hi ALL, I'm trying to port some windows program to Linux using Wine. I have C++ source code with Windows DLLs functions calls. The question is: how can I load DLL under Linux and call Windows function? I've tried LoadLibraryA(), PE_LoadLibraryExA() and SERVER_START_REQ( create_file ) without success. Do you know easy way to use Wine's staff to load Windows DLLs? Thanks, Oleg Lyamtsev.

Incorrect locale selected

Hello, My locale is as follows: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.UTF-8 LC_NUMERIC=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_TIME=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_COLLATE=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_MONETARY=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_MESSAGES=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_PAPER="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_NAME="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_ADDRESS="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_TELEPHONE="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_MEASUREMENT="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_GB.UTF-8" LC_ALL= Which means that my input method can be in japanese, but that all programs are in english. However, some programs (wine notepad and some installers etc) have some of the text in Japanese. Wine notepad has the "open file" dialog in Japanese, but the menus are in english. I am using Wine 20030115. Is this a known issue? Regards JG

Well our WinMM is totally wrong but I dont know how much help the WINE winmm will be as there are a LOT of functions it imports that are 9x only. Wines Winmm.dll needs to be rewritten if we are to use it properly. Eric Pouech can you comment? wcmd in a terminal, is it possible?

Hi, wcmd is very useful for me. However, I would like to use wcmd in a terminal, other than the extra window in the wine style. Then the copy paste issue I reported in my other email would be avoidable. Is there a way to run wcmd in a terminal? (NT5 cmd.exe can run, but it crashes when running batch files and I would rather use wcmd). I tried ttydrv in "config", but no luck with that. Also I tried using "wineconsole cmd.exe" however that filled my terminal with "fixme:wineconsole:WCURSES_FillCode Not done yet (330)" and then characters were displayed but Enter stopped working, now its just hung. Menu Items for dialogs working?

Do menu items for dialogs work? I have an app running on RH8 and gnome that doesn't display dialog menu items. Is this a known issue? Thanks, Bob.

Changed the capture fragment size but this still needs tuning for best performance. causes the following warning audio.c:2921: warning: `dscdbvt' defined but not used in dlls/winmm/wineoss/audio.c. I think i had an idea that may help you on makeing wine more powerfull on running games it's very simple and stupid there are a gift lib is called allegro (see www.allegro.cc) that is open source have win32/linux version the windows version is based on direct x most games on windows is based on allegro or a lib derived from allegro so open the code of the windows vertion of allegro and compare it with the linux version of allegro you will see the corrsponding linux code how is that?? stupid ha? _________________________________________________________ Participate in the FIRST EVER Arabic/English on-line auction site.
