by wine-bugs＠winehq.org May 28, 2026

May 28, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18647 Summary: Custom textbox/combobox fields in a listview Product: Wine Version: 1.1.22 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: comctl32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: thunderbird2k(a)gmail.com Hi, The use of a custom listview control (e.g. xlistctrl) with user drawn controls like editable text fields and comboboxes there are various drawing bugs and you can't properly 'enter' the control. I mean that in case of a combobox you can't select custom values and in case of a text field it isn't always editable. An example of a control which shows the problem is at http://www.codeproject.com/KB/list/xlistctrl.aspx Regards, Roderick Colenbrander -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 29579] New: winhelp: winhlp32.exe doesn't support making its window non-resizeable or without menu strip
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org May 16, 2026

May 16, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29579 Bug #: 29579 Summary: winhelp: winhlp32.exe doesn't support making its window non-resizeable or without menu strip Product: Wine Version: 1.3.36 Platform: x86-64 URL: http://download.microsoft.com/download/aoe/Trial/1.0/W IN98/EN-US/MSAoE.exe OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: markk(a)clara.co.uk Classification: Unclassified In Windows, help files can cause the winhlp32 window to open with fixed (non-resizeable) dimensions, and/or with no menu strip. Wine winhlp32 does not support that feature. For example, download the Age of Empires trial version from http://www.microsoft.com/games/empires/downloads.htm direct download URL is http://download.microsoft.com/download/aoe/Trial/1.0/WIN98/EN-US/MSAoE.exe Either run MSAoE.exe to install the demo, or use cabextract to unpack the files inside. Run winhlp32.exe from Windows under Wine and load Empires.hlp. Notice the window has no menu strip and cannot be resized. (I tested winhlp32.exe from Windows 98 and XP.) Run Wine winhlp32.exe and load Empires.hlp. (The window contents are completely messed up and unusable, but that's not what this bug covers.) Notice the winhlp32 window is resizeable and has a menu strip. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.

May 10, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24387 Summary: MS Money 2000: Crashes updating financial informations from the Internet Product: Wine Version: 1.3.2 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: andrea.vai(a)unipv.it Created an attachment (id=30732) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=30732) Terminal output. If I click on "update informations from the internet" in the main page of the application, the applications crashes (Application error window "MSMONEY encountered an error and has must be closed" appears. The only way to close the application is to kill it). Problem was not present in wine 1.1.15, so I performed a regression test and the result is: ---------------------------------------------------------------- c5a6b7b36674e8b7f7dc687b01773b88fa7d7312 is the first bad commit commit c5a6b7b36674e8b7f7dc687b01773b88fa7d7312 Author: Juan Lang <juan.lang(a)gmail.com> Date: Tue Mar 30 10:26:48 2010 -0700 rsaenh: Support setting salt via KP_SALT (resend). :040000 040000 d9a20e02d3637c41baadb3131a23907fb5603fe8 51eea86ad80613f612f64bd44a0517c0b89a4894 M dlls ---------------------------------------------------------------- As far as I can notice, the bad commit is the same involved in bug 23208. May 10, 2026

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30919 Bug #: 30919 Summary: [.net 2.0] ListBox items should not display any newline characters Product: Wine Version: 1.5.5 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: danieleds0(a)gmail.com Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 40550 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=40550 Expected behavior vs actual behavior In a .net application, if you add an item to a ListBox, newline characters are shown (in windows, they're hidden). Look at the attached image to see the differences. This is the code used to reproduce the problem (VB.NET) ListBox1.Items.Add("aaa" & "|" & vbNewLine & "bbb" & "|" & vbNewLine & "ccc") I suspect this problem is not limited to .net, but maybe is at some lower level. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
