Even can't walk or move or escape in Overwatch game client. Positives - Blizzard has included all CJK fonts not just for the blizzard battle net client but also for games, like Overwatch has its own CJK fonts. and there is no need to install additional fonts as Overwatch and battle net are able to render all CJK fonts on Linux except some on friend list inside the app. With Overwatch its able to render all CJK fonts as it has its own fonts and works great on Linux for chinese japanese or korean and even other languages as it doesn't need any system font. Blizzard battle net app can get input from Ibus or Fcitx (I tested it with ibus anthy) and also render it using its own CJK fonts which is great as we can see in the first attachment also word suggestions and Kanji conversion in case of japanese is working nicely as you can see on the markings. Negatives / Bugs - Unlike the app login screen or the app's social chat, we can't input any CJK inside the game itself despite its able to render all CJK fonts. As when switching to a CJK keyboard the game client stops taking input at all not even walking running using abilities in game works. Which definitely should not be the case. It not only stops the chat input but also stops from doing any input at all which can be a night mare mid game if I try to quickly switch for using it in my Blizzard app. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. When pressing the launch button, the games simply do nothing and sit there stating they're running or state they're running for a few seconds and the message is gone. I've tried running Warcraft 3: Reforged from the terminal and all I receive is a failed to initialize ClientSdk.dll. Haven't tried this for other games. It re-launched with a completely black window. By right clicking on the tray icon, you can select the settings, and disable "Use browser hardware acceleration". After re-launching, the new (imo ugly---a completely irrelevant, off-topic comment for this bug report) Battle.net UI is visible. It's almost completely functional---but not all re-draws of the window seem to be captured, resulting in a much of the window being completely black. Moving the window or highlighting buttons prompts a re-draw. As a note: originally I didn't think to access the settings menu from the tray. I was still able to start, e.g. Starcraft 2, by running SC2Switcher_x64.exe directly. It plays perfectly fine. When you play in windowed mode (or with dual-screen) it is really annoying (and causing eyestrain) when the gamma value is too high. This profile is set by xcalib and shouldn't be mindlessly messed with. I could not determinate a pattern as to which programs do this. It seems games are especially prone. A simple test case: Get xcalib, and use it to set some random color profile, such as with xcalib -a -gc 5 Get CPU-Z. There is a simple no-installation zip available. When the window is no longer selected, every element (buttons and text) below "keep me logged in" is no longer displayed. When I hover above the location of the blue log in button, it's rendered again.
