[Reproducer] 1. Start redshift and ensure it entered sunset color. Better use -l LAT:LON to fake that you are in somewhere sun is already set. Default redshift will use randr backend to reset the color temp, so no extra setting is needed to reproduce. And default redshift will use 5500K for daytime and 3500K for nighttime, so the color temp change will be quite obvious. 2. Start wine GUI program I'm using Startcraft2 an galgame called "月に寄り添う乙女の作法2", both of them cause the display color temperature reset for several seconds. This prevents applications from navigating the device tree to find parent USB devices for HID devices. A .NET application (KNX ETS 6.4) uses the following pattern to identify a USB license dongle: 1. Enumerate HID device interfaces via SetupDiGetClassDevs 2. For each HID device, call CM_Get_Parent to find the parent USB device node 3. Read the parent USB device properties (VID/PID) 4. If matching, open the HID device Since CM_Get_Parent always fails, the application never identifies the dongle even though Wine correctly enumerates it as a HID device. A minimal implementation that maps HID child devices to their USB parent devices (by replacing the "HID\" prefix with "USB\" in the device instance ID and looking up the result in the registry) resolves the issue. Additionally, SETUPDI_EnumerateMatchingInterfaces in devinst.c adds devices to the device info set even when they have no matching device interfaces. This causes SetupDiEnumDeviceInfo to return phantom devices that are not present, breaking applications that assume device and interface indices are synchronized. This is a GUI application that starts a network thread to connect to a server, waiting to receive messages using overlapped operations. After receiving a message, the network thread uses SendMessage() to send the received data to the GUI thread, which creates a Device Context and prints the data. But after creating the Device Context the networking thread becomes stuck and doesn't receive data anymore. Then visual lags (constant, as if the program runs at 5 FPS) started to happen. Welp, they aren't solely visual, responsiveness also suffers. Audio, however, doesn't lag and is still smooth. The lag is also present on Wine10. Regression also confirmed on Wine-development v9.22 and with a demo version of the program and on different PCs (first on an Intel-based laptop (Core i3-7100), then on an AMD-based one (AMD Ryzen 5 5500U)), both with integrated GPUs. Download, install, and open the Battle.net App. 2. Click the region button or the settings button. 3. Wave the mouse pointer over where the menu should appear for it to appear (bug 33943) On Windows, the menus are displayed with a border and a triangular protrusion that points to the associated button. On Wine, this border never appears. TRACE+win output is attached. Open it with Vim; for some reason `less` thinks it's a binary file. I don't know if this is the same as bug 33943. If the same fix solves both problems, then we can mark both bugs as fixed. After Hearthstone opened a Window and asked for an Language(I selected English(US)) it trows an Error: Something went wrong while trying to create a directory ("C:/ProgramData/Battle.net/Agent"). Please ensure you have permission to create the directory and try again.
