Steps to reproduce: 1) Start the installer. Shows fixme:msxml:domdoc_get_parseError calls immediately before the process enters 100% CPU infinite recursion loop. Process was killed after TrackChecker (https://trackchecker.net) a 64-bit Windows application (PE32+ x86-64, subsystem 6.00), worked correctly under Wine Staging 11.6 but hangs at 100% CPU with no window since Wine 11.7. The process never terminates on its own and must be killed. This pattern (mprotect on incrementing addresses) is Wine's guard page expansion firing continuously — definitive infinite recursion consuming the entire stack. /proc/<pid>/wchan = 0 — the process is spinning entirely in userspace, never blocking. The application uses CoCreateInstance on CLSID {f6d90f11-9c73-11d3-b32e-00c04f990bb4} (DOMDocument30 / msxml3) to parse its data.xml configuration file at startup. The COM class is correctly registered in the prefix. Attempting to use native msxml3 (both via winetricks and by manually copying a genuine 64-bit msxml3.dll from a Windows 10 installation) did not resolve the issue: winetricks msxml3 installs only a 32-bit DLL which cannot load in a 64-bit process, and the Windows 10 native 64-bit DLL fails to load in Wine due to unresolved dependencies. A related regression (PLSQL Developer failing to start on Wine 11.7, also msxml3-related) was fixed in Wine 11.8, but TrackChecker's code path is not covered by that fix and remains broken in Wine 11.9. When trying to take a screenshot I only get a solid black image, even when text dialogue could be seen on the actual game screen. The actual gameplay seems to work fine, this is almost certainly only a rendering error. For all this time, I've mostly managed to make it work on Debian/Devuan Linux and Wine. Nowadays, we're using mostly Devuan Daedalus / Debian Bookworm and Wine 8, the app works perfectly. Then I've started testing Devuan Excalibur / Debian Trixie which comes with Wine 10, and I've learned it had ODBC broken which in turn broke my app. No matter, I installed wine-stable 9 from winehq, and it worked just fine. Or so I thought... Someone else which was testing the app on wine 9 let me know about several "documents" which the app prints to PDF or physical printers, which on wine 8 comes out perfectly, but on wine 9 and onwards come out garbled. You can see here on https://shorturl.at/RJ107 an example of a document printed all right, and the same document printed garbled at https://shorturl.at/q5Rjw Up to now I've had the same results with wine-stable 11 and wine-staging up to 11.8. What I'd like to know if there's some way to debug the printing, perhaps with WINEDEBUG? Steps to reproduce: 1. Open the first menu (File) with a mouse click. Move the mouse over the menu items of the file menu. 2. Move the mouse pointer to a different menu to open its subsequent menu items. I mean that in case of a combobox you can't select custom values and in case of a text field it isn't always editable.
